“-고 싶다” expresses the wish or hope of the speaker and corresponds to “want to” in
English. It is used to ask about the wish or hope of the listener. “-고 싶다” is used after the
verb regardless of whether it ends in a final consonant or not.

This is used when the speaker wants to make a suggestion to the listener or ask about
doing something together with the listener. It is equivalent to “Shall I…?” “Shall we…? or “Why
